2016-2017 Tourist season starting in few months

Date:

This newspaper, Le Soleil de La Floride, has been in continuous existence for 35 years, with the present ownership for the past 15 years. It has never been shut down for any period of time and the advertisers receive excellent results from advertising in this newspaper. It is published 35 times a year, weekly during the tourist season for Canadians, from October to the end of April and once per month the rest of the year. It also publishes annually the most comprehensive French tourist guide : “ACCES FLORIDE” which is available for free throughout Florida and Quebec.

The newspaper, a free newspaper in Florida, is the only French publication which is both circulated (monthly edition) in Quebec and other portions of French speaking provinces, and contains tourist oriented news and not hard local, or national (Canadian, French or US) news which the readers can get on the internet or by watching Florida’s only French television station “TeleFloride”, or through a Canadian satellite system broadcasted into Florida.

Our readers are mostly located in Florida’s Southeast coast from Fort Pierce to South Beach in Miami. Le Soleil de La Floride is circulated and found in some 350 locations during the tourist season. You can find the newspaper at various locations in businesses such as Natbank and Desjardins Bank and private resorts such as Aztec RV Resort in Margate, or at various condominium developments including Century Village.

Florida has over 20 million permanent residents and is the third largest state in the United States. It is surrounded by water; the Atlantic Ocean on the east coast and the Gulf of Mexico on the west coast. Only in the Florida Keys can you stand on the side of the road and see both, the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico from your car. If you travel across the state from Key West to Pensacola in North Florida, you will travel over 800 miles!

There are certain areas of Florida which cater directly to families with attractions such as Disney World, SeaWorld and Universal Studios. Others may visit Florida for its beaches, such as those of Hollywood Beach, or Sanibel on Florida’s west coast off of Fort Myers and Cape Coral. However, the most active areas for tourism is still the Fort Lauderdale and Miami South Beach in the Southeast portion of Florida. This includes Boca Raton and its Mizner Park with its restaurants, shops, winter festivities and concerts.

What states offer you, in the winter, warm weather, sunny days, beautiful beaches, wild life in the Everglades, fine restaurants, professional hockey (NHL) and just a peaceful evening barbaquing and watching the moon and stars in the clear skies? …Only Florida.
