Former Florida governor Jeb Bush running for President Of United States

Date:

Former Governor Jeb Bush announced on June 15, 2015, that he was running for the office of President of the United States. Bush is the 11th Republican to enter the race. Others running include Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Rick Perry, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum, Lindsey Graham and George Pataki. Since, Donald Trump joined the race and others may so do in the coming weeks.

Former Governor Jeb Bush served as Governor of Florida, now the third largest state in the country with a population of close to 20 million. He served as governor from 1998 to 2007. Prior to that, he served as Florida’s Secretary of Commerce in 1987 and 1988. Jeb Bush was a very successful developer after moving to Florida in the early 1980’s and became a well-respected Florida businessman and spent many years in public service.

During his time as governor, he was responsible for making Florida the number one state in job creation and number one in small business creation. He also cut taxes by $19 billion and made Florida more attractive for corporations to relocate to the state. His administrative abilities and hands on way of leading the state resulted in many years of economic growth and increase in better paying jobs in Florida.

Jeb Bush was also responsible for children being allowed to choose different school, private and charter, when their schools were not providing them with a good education.

In his announcement speech, Jeb Bush laid out his case for his candidacy. He promised an uplifting debate about the direction and future of the country while arguing that he could deliver aggressive economic growth. He stated, in his announcement speech, that there was no a reason in the world why the United States could not grow at a rate of 4% a year, and that this would be his goal as president, as this would create 19 million new jobs in this country. Presently, the recent job growth has decreased to a low growth of 2.2 % a year under the current Obama administration.

Former Governor Jeb Bush, in his public service, has been more interested in solving real problems affecting the American public than in trying to please everyone for the sake of getting elected or re-elected to political office.

Jeb Bush stated that he would positioned himself as a Washington outsider ready to bring fresh perspective to the present political problems and that the United States needs a president willing to challenge and disrupt the whole culture in Washington, our nation’s capital. He stated that he would be that type president because he proved himself as a reforming governor, while serving as Florida’s Governor.

In his announcement speech, the former Florida Governor repeated his call for an immigration overhaul to be passed by Congress, rather than by executive actions such as those signed by Mr. Obama.

His announcement came after his return from where, to the surprise of the media, he was warmly greeted by foreign leaders who are US allies, even though they knew he would be a candidate for president of the United States.
